(Others may call it National Night Out but we know it is all about the Neighbors.)

Sites for National Night Out 2013 Block Parties on Tuesday, Oct. 1 are below.  The parade and parties start at 6pm.

Be sure to lock your doors & come out to visit with your neighbors!  Don’t forget to share this info with your neighbors who don’t have computers.

If your block isn’t having a party, don’t sit inside & mope – find a block party & join the festivities!     If you can bring some food or beverage it would be appreciated, but you’ll be welcomed even if you’re empty-handed!

I’m Jayme Scott and have lived in Lazybrook for 7 years. We live on Brooktree and have a 5 1/2 year old son and a 3 year old daughter. For several years, I have been envious of other Moms that live in neighborhoods that have a Moms Group. With the influx of couples and families moving into Lazybrook, I feel that Lazybrook is officially ready to have our very own “Moms Group”. I would like to host a very informal meeting with the Moms and Moms-to-be of Lazybrook on Sunday, Oct 20th from 4-5pm. I picked a day when the Texans play early:)

I’m only setting it for an hour to hopefully work with everyone’s hectic schedule. Please no kiddos at this meeting to allow for us to meet one another and brainstorm ideas for the Moms of Lazybrook all within a short hour. My goal for this meeting is to get an established Email network/directory for all the Moms to communicate and to meet everyone. Please bring any ideas of what you would like to see incorporated, ie play dates, walking groups, Moms’ nights out, meetings, neighborhood events, etc.
