Constable Patrol 2023 Sign-up
Constable Patrol in Timbergrove/Lazybrook Starts in October
Timbergrove Manor Civic Club is moving forward with a joint Constable Patrol Program with Lazybrook Civic Club starting in October 2023 – This program will be in addition to our already existing Citizens on Patrol program, which is 100% volunteer based at no cost to LCC.
This program will start in October of 2023 and run for 1yr (yearly contract). Subscribers will receive a sign for your yard and the phone number for this concierge Constable Program. Learn more about the program on our website page .
Cost per household will be $300/yr for standard subscription, with a $200 option for seniors (65+) — sign up today following these steps:
1) If you haven’t already, pay your 2023 dues to support LCC here — I will point out that neither LCC nor Timbergrove Manor Civic Club (TMCC) are taking a % of the constable program payments, 100 % is going to the security program. Because the civic associations are taking on the administrative burden of managing this program and providing the volunteer support, you must be a Member of your civic club (LCC) to benefit from subscriber only benefits of the constable program. If you are unsure if you have paid in 2023 check with our membership chair Shelley at membership@lazybrook.org
2) Sign up and pay via TMCC website using the links below to facilitate payment. There are two options, the “Standard Subscription” and “Senior Rate” for 65+ households. Please note because TMCC is handing the administration of the County contract your payment and receipt will show TMCC, but these links are Lazybrook resident specific for tracking purposes.

Senior Rate Link ($210): https://bit.ly/SeniorRateConstablePatrol
Alternatively, payments made by check can be mailed to the address below. Timbergrove will be processing payments for our coordinated program.
Please include your address and email on the check.

Mosquito Spraying Update – 2023
After the suspension of our larvicide treatments by the City of Houston, we have resumed our mosquito spraying program from years past and will begin treatments the week of June 15, 2023, with the last spraying being the week of Sep 15th.
See below for the safety data sheet on the product being used by our vendor, Cypress Creek Pest Control. This is the same treatment product method and vendor as the last 8+yrs we have had a mosquito spraying program.
Questions about our program should be directed to our program chair Fernando via email to mosquito@lazybrook.org
Constable Patrol Survey
Constable Patrol in Timbergrove/Lazybrook
Timbergrove Manor Civic Club is moving forward with a Constable Patrol Program that will include the Lazybrook area – This program will be in addition to our already existing Citizens on Patrol program which is 100% volunteer based.
Read about the program below to learn more. If you would be interested in having and paying for this type of security program in Lazybrook, please fill out our survey. Please note this survey closed on 5/31/23 – further updates on this program will be forthcoming via email and newsletter updates.
Cost per household would be $300/yr. This is based on historic participation levels of similar security programs within Timbergrove and the overall cost per officer per year contract, which is about $90k/yr. If this type of program were funded, all residents would be strongly encouraged to participate as the program, which benefits the entire neighborhood, would be funded solely by paid subscriptions. Standard Lazybrook membership dues will not and would never be used for support of this program.
What is Constable Patrol?
The Harris County Constable Patrol program provides a dedicated Harris County police deputy to patrol a given neighborhood area or subdivision. Under this program, a deputy (or multiple deputies, as necessitated and paid for) work a 40-hour week on shifts determined based on crime data, patrolling in marked cars for high visibility to help deter crime. The Heights, Oak Forest, River Oaks and many others currently have contracts with Harris County Precinct 1, which is the Lazybrook/Timbergrove precinct.
Neighborhood Benefits of Participating in a Constable Patrol Program with Harris County:
- Acts as a deterrent to crime by having a great physical police presence
- Reduced response times to emergency and non-emergency situations
- Additional services to subscribing residents (yard signs, vacation watches)
This would put officer(s) patrolling directly in our area who will:
- Respond to house alarm calls
- Respond to HPD dispatch (including 911)
- Perform vacation watches (twice daily visits during patrol hours, subscribers only)
- Write tickets and make arrests
